Sylvan Entertainments Ninth Country Music Taster
Book this show About the event:
Sylvan Entertainments present their ninth Country Music Taster at Lakeside. What started as a "one off" event put in at the last minute has now become an annual show with people travelling from the length and breadth of the UK to join us for the day. This is the show for organisers and bookers to see what is new on the country scene but also to catch up on some familiar faces that they may not have seen for a while. It is also a great day for the artistes to catch up with each other as although they are covering the same clubs and areas, they very rarely get together to swop news. This year well-known artiste Chris James will be the show's main compere and will be introducing newcomers John Doherty and Boyd (featuring Charlotte) among others. Established artistes such as Peter "Pedro" Barlow, Steve "Loco" Jaye and Ainsley "Country Code" are also appearing. Paul Martin, once very well known on the circuit will be presenting his new band. The now firm favourite on the circuit, Martin Jaye, will make his first appearance on centre stage. Duos Twin Falls, Barhoppers and Ray Peters show off their musical talents. New band 3rd and Lindsley present themselves to their public. Amie Knight will make a return visit after a couple of years. As well as this, something a little different, The Zimmer-Rockers will debut. All this great musical talent is ably supported by the Lee Kitching Disco.
All in all, a great "value" day out. The large dance floor lends itself to all forms of dancing, line, partner, jive and freestyle.
