Lakeside has become renown, over the years, as a popular venue for Asian weddings. We offer large and diverse premises, kitchen and self-catering facilities, large scenic grounds and a very large free carpark. The two suites we offer are:

Alcoholic beverages

Lakeside can open its bars which are fully staffed on a "pay as you go" system. Alternately you may provide your own alcoholic beverage and the inclusive costs will be:

• Cabaret Suite: Saturdays: £12,000 – Sunday to Friday - £10,5000
• Canal Suite: Saturday: £6,600 – Sunday to Friday: £6000

Service place settings

Dinner and side plate, spoon and fork or knife and fork, wrapped in a serviette - £3-50 per meal plus VAT

• Cup and saucer - £1-20 per meal plus VAT
• Drinking glasses - £0-30 per glass per meal plus VAT

We charge for all broken items.

Rates for Enhanced Sound and Video Equipment

The prices quoted cover for general lighting (chandeliers and various decorative lights around the rooms). If required, we can provide the following items, which are priced individually:

• Public Address System, plus one microphone and stand - £100.00 plus VAT
• Sound mix for visiting musicians, up to 10 microphones - £300.00 plus VAT
• Your music played through PA on CD, mini disc or cassette - £30.00 plus VAT
• Video screens and projectors per 4-hour session (per projector) - £100.00 plus VAT
• Spotlight and operator, per 4-hour session - £70.00 plus VAT
• Technician to operate above equipment - £200.00, plus VAT
• Security – price on application

Conditions for use of kitchen

• Lakeside kitchens are to be used for warming food or frying only. Cooking is not permitted,
• Caterers must provide their own frying oil,
• Caterers must provide their own kitchen porters and all rubbish must be removed from all areas, including the function suite.

Health and safety and insurance

• The kitchens must be kept in a clean and tidy state at all times,
• Caterers and their personnel adhere to Lakeside Health & Safety Policy,
• It is the duty of the caterer to produce for inspection certificates of assessment for any substances, which are hazardous to health, being used on site in the work process, in accordance with the COSHH,
• Interference in the activities of caterers by Lakeside personnel is to be avoided. However, if a caterer is considered to be employing unsafe working practices, the matter is to be reported,
• Caterers should be suitably certificated and carry their own third party insurance against any accidents or injuries arising whilst on Lakeside premises.

Security bond

A refundable bond of £250 is required for the use of the kitchens. This must be paid with the final settlement figure. The bond is refunded if our conditions are met in full. However, we may retain all or part if our terms & conditions are not adhered to.

Other conditions

• Lakeside is situated close to a residential area, therefore ceremonial drums are restricted to just outside the main cabaret suite foyer and in the foyer itself,
• The sounding of horns is not permitted,
• The use of rose petals/confetti is not permitted,
• Children are be supervised at all times,
• Use of the balcony is permitted but not available to children.
